Digibic (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the BanglaBOT AI chatbot service available on websites, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp on behalf of our business clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you interact with a BanglaBOT-powered chatbot.
2. Information We Collect
- Messages you send to the chatbot (text and, where applicable, images)
- Your Facebook Page-scoped user ID (PSID) when interacting via Messenger, used only to maintain conversation context
- Basic technical data such as timestamps of messages
We do not collect your real name, phone number, or other personal profile data unless you voluntarily share it in a message.
3. How We Use Information
- To generate relevant, helpful replies to your questions using AI (Google Gemini)
- To maintain short-term conversation history (typically a few hours) so the chatbot can understand follow-up questions
- To help the business owner (our client) respond to and improve customer service
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your message data with third parties for advertising purposes. Message content is processed by Google’s Gemini AI API solely to generate a response, in accordance with Google’s API data handling terms.
5. Data Retention
Conversation history used for context is automatically deleted after a short period (a few hours). We do not permanently store full chat transcripts beyond what is needed to operate the service.
6. Your Rights
You may stop interacting with the chatbot at any time. To request deletion of any data associated with your conversation, please contact the business you were messaging, or reach us directly at the contact information below.
7. Facebook Messenger & WhatsApp
When you message a business through Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp, your interaction is also subject to Meta’s Privacy Policy. BanglaBOT only accesses messages sent directly to the connected Page/WhatsApp number to generate automated replies, in compliance with Meta’s Platform Policies.
